Paul will cover two topics in the session “S10: Roll Forming: In-line Punching, Cutoff Dies, and Press Tonnage.” In the first part of the session, Paul will share a presentation titled “In-line Punching and Cutoff Dies, Options for Increasing Value to You Roll Forming Lines.” Attendees will learn how to increase the value of their current roll forming lines that just cut off parts by adding punching roll forming lines. Discussions will include when to add punching, which locations in the roll forming line, and what options provide the best tolerances. This session is set to bring innovative insights to the forefront of our industry.

The second part of the session will feature a presentation called “When the Tonnage is Not the Tonnage with Presses Used in Roll Forming Operations.” In this portion of the session, Williams will cover the different types of presses used in roll forming (mechanical, air, and hydraulic) and discuss how various presses have different tonnage ratings as well as how to choose the best press for your application.
