Formtek, Inc. participated in the national Manufacturing Day event again this year. The national event took place across the U.S. on Friday, October 3rd. Formtek’s event kicked off at their facility in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
The President of Formtek, Darren Muchnicki opened the event welcoming the nearly 400 students and other Northeast Ohio companies and colleges that Formtek hosted at their event. Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge representing the 11th District for the State of Ohio and Mayor Bradley D. Sellers of Warrensville Heights spoke at the opening ceremonies.
The State of Ohio Treasurer’s office, presented Formtek with a ‘Proclamation’ for an outstanding contribution to manufacturing and the skilled trades industry, and participation in the National Manufacturing Day event. Additionally, representatives from the offices of Ohio Governor John Kasich and US Senator Rob Portman were in attendance, to support Ohio’s Manufacturing infrastructure.
Formtek being the host of the event invited other Northeast Ohio companies to spread awareness about U.S. manufacturing and improve the perception of manufacturing careers by having live demonstration and being available for student questions. Lincoln Electric brought their Vertex Mobile Trailer and Virtual Reality Welding system. Rapid Prototype + Manufacturing LLC (rp+m), breaking new ground in manufacturing, brought their uPrint 3D printing machine. Force Robot LLC had their Touch Robot which is part of a new age of manufacturing. Below is a list of manufacturers and colleges that participated.
