Tishken recently updated its Slitting System designs for producing narrow coils widths in high production and frequent changeover environments. To maximize productivity and support the sensitive knife setups of narrow mult slitting, the systems offer Tishken’s Roll-a-Head feature for efficient change of the slitter head inline, reducing downtime. Unlike turret-type systems, with the Roll-a-Head design, the tooling can be setup and gapped offline, then quickly rolled inline and secured via the hydraulic transfer and clamping system.
The systems are available with single or multiple recoilers and the option of oscillate winding. To further support the specialty slitting applications, the system includes a job memory for storing the speeds and drive settings of each knife setup, to optimize production and minimize scrap.
