This year’s World-Class Roll Forming Workshop was held in in Memphis, TN, in conjunction with the Pipe & Tube event. The event was a great success with many attendees from the roll forming community coming together to receive training and share experiences. This FMA event provides the opportunity for attendees to speak with many professionals in the roll forming industry. No matter if you were an operator or a CEO, everyone benefited from this event.
Today’s marketplace has a shortage of workers and an even larger shortage of experienced workers. Those that attended this event had two solid days of training to take back and utilize at their respective companies. The attendees also gathered the contact information of the speakers to contact them in the future if needed. Formtek was proud to participate in this yearly industry event in several capacities from exhibiting to speaking and teaching, allowing industry professionals to ask questions and seek out the answers they needed. Formtek’s Brian Rodgers and Paul Williams both spoke at the event, leading sessions about different aspects about roll forming. Brian shared his knowledge about standards for proper roll tooling installation and how to set up lines correctly to ensure product quality and process efficiency.Paul shared tips and tricks for maximizing the accuracy and efficiency of roll forming lines. He also shared ways to eliminate bottlenecks when he spoke about ancillary equipment and processing. Formtek employees not only spoke at the event but also hosted a rousing game of Jeopardy for the attendees. This game gave attendees a chance to show off and share their industry knowledge while having some fun. Formtek’s Paul William hosted Roll Forming Jeopardy with the Roll Forming Council and attendees.
Formtek looks forward to next year and to sharing more about the exciting world of roll forming.
