Formtek is proud to announce that Brian Rodgers will speak at the upcoming METALCON 2022 event in October 2022. METALCON will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana, from October 12-14, 2022. Hear Brian as he speaks as part of the Rollforming for the Metal Construction Industry: Part 1 and 2 sessions. Attendees will benefit greatly from listening to Brian Rodgers, Senior Application Sales Engineer, and his insights and experience in roll forming for the metal construction industry.
In the first workshop, “Rollforming for the Metal Construction Industry: Part 1,” Brian will share his knowledge in his presentation called “Utilizing Existing Capital Equipment and Tooling.” This presentation will focus on being flexible in the roll forming industry. With today’s changing products and the pressure of custom products, a company needs the ability to be flexible.
Being flexible in the roll forming industry is nothing new. There are roll forming machines that are 50+ years old meeting today’s demands. Many of these machines have had face lifts and tweaks at a fraction of the cost of new equipment. New tooling, controls, rebuilds, and focus have been the keys to success. This class will look at utilizing your equipment better and will help with the points of evaluation needed to use older equipment. Whether using some or all existing equipment, companies can develop economical solutions for today’s demands. You can hear Brian and other panelists speak about this topic on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 8:30AM – 12PM in meeting room 133. For more information, visit the workshop link.
Brian’s second presentation will be on the following day as part of the “Rollforming for the Metal Construction Industry: Part 2” workshop. Brian will give his presentation on “Material and How it Affects Metal Building Products in the Roll Forming Process.” This presentation will focus on how material changes can make a difference in your products. When material is changed, it can make slight differences that may change your part. Adjustments may be necessary to keep the desired outcome. Die tonnage, roll design, and roll former overall strength issues will be included in the discussion. Join other attendees as they hear Brian and other panelists cover this topic on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM in meeting room 133. For more information, visit the workshop link.
